In the best film of the Cannes Film Festival's Two Directors' Week program, director Mia Hansen-Løve creates a multi-layered and elegant portrait of a woman who manages to find the courage to surrender to love again in the midst of the whirlwind of everyday life. Léa Seydoux, nominated for Best Actress at the European Film Awards, plays freelance translator Sandra in the film. She is an attentive single mother and patiently cares for her sick father who is slowly losing his independence. With her head immersed in worries, Sandra has already accepted that her love life remains only in her memories. Until one fine morning he meets his old friend Klement. He is married and has a son. She knows she has a responsibility to do something different. But a much greater force draws them to each other. It is a French delicate and Parisian romantic film, in which there is not a single artificial conflict - only people magically come to life in the hands of a talented director.
